First Week
I am so happy that I took my Yoga TT with YogaWorks. I love how particular they are with alignment and sequencing that makes sense. I love how they give emphasis on doing the the pose the right way so as not injure the students. I love that the training is just not just about the physical practice but also about the "spiritual" and transformational aspects of yoga. Their principles are so in line with mine! Yay! Having David Kim as our teacher made it all the more super great!
The weeks has been very exciting, challenging, fun and tiring at the same time. I look forward every day to class. Our daily practice is always very well thought of. I learn something in each movement, in each pose. I also look forward to the philosophy discussions, "demo"; "let's look at bodies"; and practice teaching activities :) My classmates are awesome! Everyone shares their food, their learnings, their laughter, their support and positive energy :)
What made it challenging for me is living alone - having to do everything by myself, not having a fast internet connection and my sleep. My body refuses to let me sleep in the evening - it is used to being a vampire! I am hoping that melatonin would help me with that this week.
I am missing home. I wish I can go home over the weekend without having to struggle with completing requirements and homework.
God is so good to me. It just came to me this morning that I can actually make my daily practice as a prayer to thank God - for being able to do what I am able to do despite the challenges and for just putting everything in place :) This is for you, Father.
Walk with me as I deepen my Yoga practice... as I pursue my passion... as I enjoy this beautiful journey towards knowing myself more... And as I serve others through my love for Yoga. Namaste :)

Day 2
October 3, 2012
Living alone is not easy. I am not used to doing things on my own. I have to wake up early to prepare my food for the day. Instead of resting after a an intense day, I have to prepare for dinner. I have to clean, wash the dishes, think about my laundry and do the groceries. This is such a learning experience for me. I am not complaining but I have to admit, it is challenging :)
I was really exhausted yesterday. I immediately fell asleep when I got home. But I had to wake up to do my homework. This reminds me so much of my high school life :) Plus, my body is still getting used to being up in the morning and sleeping at night. For this month, I am not a vampire :)
I am loving my experience. I miss home though. But I am positive that I will be a better person after all my learnings here... :) I am embracing each day with openness and gratitude.
Thank you, Father God, for this beautiful opportunity.

Day 1
October 2, 2012
Yesterday officially started my journey to being a yoga teacher :)
I feel so blessed to be part of David Kim's Teacher Training class. He is awesome. I find him very inspiring and nurturing, and funny, too!
I am just really grateful... For having found this beautiful path. For my family friends who are so supportive. For my cousin-sis, Zar, who encouraged me try try yoga back in 2010. For my teachers, especially Kaye, who have shared their great energy with me. For my boss and my team who has allowed me to be off from work. For my yoga buddies, for everyone who has been part of this journey... My heart is so full of gratitude.
May my every practice be a prayer... That i may become a better person (even just a lil bit) each time... And with that, I'll inpire others to be better, too (evne just a lil bit) :)

My Passion
Sept. 14, 2012
A journey of a Yogi's Feet
I grew up seeing my parents staying up late checking test papers of students with a red pen and inputting scores in a "class record", which had very fine lines. They were always making "lesson plans" in this big notebook and creating visual aids - flash cards and lesson outlines on a manila paper. They always seemed so busy for the next day's class. I told myself then that I do not want to be a teacher.
Years later, I became a trainer... For 5 years... And I loved it. I miss it. A lot. It was then that I understood why my parents had so much passion for teaching... And they still do!
In 17 days, I will undergo the YogaWorks' Teacher Training program. I am excited, nervous, scared, but most of all, happy :)
Thank you, Father God, for giving me this wonderful opportunity and for allowing evrything to fall into place. Thank you, Ma and Pa, for being the best teachers and for being my role models. Thank you to my family and friends who are ever supportive of my plans. Thank you, Kaye, and to all my yoga teachers who inspire me. Thank you to my awesome bosses who allow me pursue this training.
I am so blessed that I am one step closer to doing 2 of my greatest passions, yoga and teaching :)
